RoboWars Currency - The Three Kinds
The plan of this beginner’s walk-through is to get you into the Battle Arena, and get you battling, and showing you the best way to do that. So in our eventual goal of getting you battling it is time to explain the 3 currencies of RoboWars, and the best way to deal with them.
Scraps
Scraps (S); you can earn these through battling, and through the gaming facility. You cannot buy much with Scraps, but they are ever so valuable. Like with the other currencies of RoboWars, you can see how many you have on hand by looking at the top of your page. It is a good idea never to have too many Scraps on hand; this is because if someone decides to battle you, you will lose them. This is a good time to head to The Scrap Yard. Here you can exchange your Scraps for Cash, Diamonds or transfer them directly to another player. However if you have just started in RoboWars you will not be able to transfer scraps till you are at least level 25. It would be a good idea to exchange all your Scraps into Cash.
Beyond level 7 you will require scraps to pay to recover your Robots health, so it would be wise not to cash in ALL your scraps once you reach level 7, it comes down to strategies of RoboWars.
At present you should have 10,000 Scraps on hand, and as suggested earlier, we're now going to convert all of those 10,000 Scraps into Cash ($). As you can see by the picture above, and hopefully on your RoboWars page, there are three different exchange options available to you. The first one (top left option) is the one we will be focusing on, it is used for converting Scraps to Cash. The other two you will need to get familiar with, the second option (top right option) being an exchange of Scraps for Diamonds and the bottom one is a transfer of Sraps on hand to another player who is presently online.
By looking at the first option, "Cash Possible", in the Cash Out box it will display how much cash you can gain if you exchange all your Scraps on hand. If you haven't earnt or lost any scraps to date this figure should read $909. Now go ahead and exchange them, type in 909, or what ever your scrap value is, into the box, then click "Get Cash". Remember we are looking at the first top option when doing this.
Cash ($)
Cash is the main currency of RoboWars, and some might say the most important. Cash can be used to purchase many things, from Weapons and Armor to healing your Robot, and even buying a squad, but we are getting ahead of ourselves. The more Cash you have the better, and the best thing to do with your Cash is to deposit them in the Bank.
Also listed at the very top of your page is the content of your Bank Account. Everyone starts with a bank account and at any stage you can deposit or withdraw cash, as required. Daily you will earn 2% interest on whatever Cash you have in your bank account; so it is essential to save your money in RoboWars, any cash you can get your hands on should be deposited into your account.
You're bank account starts empty, but you do start RoboWars with $6000, and 10,000 Scraps, which we learnt can be exchanged into $909. So in total you should have $6,909. To deposit this simply type in the amount you want to deposit, and then click the 'Submit Transaction' button, but don't do this just yet, you'll need some cash to buy some things later on.
Diamonds
Diamonds have very little use, there main purpose is for when you start a squad, you will require some Diamonds, or if you need to heal your Robot, you may require some then. If you ever need any, you can exchange some Scraps for Diamonds, at the Scrap Yard.
