Pawn Shop

The Pawn Shop is a place where you can sell your no longer wanted Weapons or Armorsin exchange for either Cash ($) or Scraps (S). It is simple to sell your item here, simply tick the circle next to the name of them item you want to sell, and then select whether or no you want Scraps or Cash.

Rates

Items can be sold for either Cash or Scraps, it is up to you to choose which one you want, both have there benefits.


If selling for Cash you will get back 66% of the original value of the item, an example is the Used Plasma Cannon which at the Weapon Shop costs $10,000, can be sold for $6,600 at the Pawn Shop.


Scraps is slightly more complicated, there are two factors that take place in working out the Pawn value. Firstly it has to be 66% of the original cost, as seen in a Cash Sale, but after that it needs to be converted to scraps, so the value is then multiplied by 10. An example is, using the Used Plasma Cannon again, $10,000 was it's original price, 66% of $10,000 x 10 = 66,000 Scraps. If you are mathematically mind you could skip this, and just say the Pawn Scrap value is 6.6 times the Original cost price.

Strategies

There are numerous strategies when it comes to using the pawn shop, it is a good idea to familiarize your self with them.

Need Scraps Now

The aptly named "Need Scraps Now" strategy is simple. Say you are killed in battle, you have no Upgrade Chip and all other ways of gaining scraps are used for the day. If you don't get scraps, you cannot heal and cannot battle. This can be overcomed by going to the Armor Outpost and buying a Used Recycled Scraps Armor, costing $250. Then returning to the Pawn Shop and pawning that exact item for scraps. The result will be that you have essentially turned into 1650 scraps. You can then take this to the mechanic and heal, or even take some of them to Scrap Yard and exchange them for Diamonds.
