Squads - Finding & Joining One
Firstly make sure you are Level 3, or higher. If not come back when you are, because you cannot join a Squad until you are level 3.
Advantages Of Joining A Squad
Upon joining a squad you will receive a few benefits, these benefits may vary from Squad to Squad, but most Squads have the following benefits.
- 100% Mechanic Coverage - This can be taken advantage of by you, when ever you are low on Health and need to heal go the the Mechanic and select the 'Send the bill to my Squad' option. You will save significantly on your Mechanic Expenses.
- Battery Power (BP) Regeneration (Bonus) is another feature, this allows you to restore your [[Battery Power (BP) quicker than ever before. The speed at which it restores will depend on what the Squad can offer.
Other benefits may include; Help and Strategy Guides, Protection from other Robots, Answer To the Question Of The Day, and targets for you to Battle.
Disadvantages
There is one significant disadvantage that some Squads, not all, may impose, that is an Experience (EXP) tax. The Squad might set a percentage for which when you battle that percentage of experience will be taken from you for every time you battle.
You can also be disadvantaged if you join a Squad that is at war with another squad, or if you join a squad with a bad reputation. Members of these kinds of Squads are often targets for members of other Squads.
Browsing The Squads
In the Squad Zone page is a list of ALL the Squads in RoboWars, listed by there level, the highest at the Top, the lowest at the Bottom. By Clicking the name of a Squad you will bring up a page created by the Leaders of that Squad to advertise the Squad and it's features. It is important to remember these pages are created by the Squad to attract members, and probably will not list any faults or problems with the Squad. I would suggest searching a select few squads, but not all of them, as there are too many.
Applying To A Squad
If you want to get into a Squad as soon as possible, a viable option is to go into the RoboWars Chat and ask if there are any leaders available that are willing to accept you into a squad. There is usually at least one, possibly more, online that will be willing to accept you. Failing this, you can find a select a squad by viewing there pages. Once you select a Squad, go to the Squad Zone, and click the name of the Squad. On the page with the information about the squad, there is a link to 'Apply To Squad' which is found towards the bottom, clicking that will put in an application for that squad. You will then have to wait for a Squad leader to come online and accept your application. It may be a good idea to apply to numerous squads.
After You're Accepted
Once you have been Accepted, you may be alert to this by your Squad leader, you can visit your Squad's internal pages. These pages contain information that only members can get to, so it is a priveledge to see. To access these, go back to the Battle Arena and just above the list of all the squads, there is a link 'Visit My Squad' click that, and it will take you there.
